| The Boone Family has a rich and colorful history that began many years ago. Our ancestors were natives of three continents - Europe, Africa, and America. To date, we have traced our family history back to the birth of Willis Boone, a mulatto boy born in 1829. In 1850, Willis married an Indian girl named Isabella Mayho in Granville County, North Carolina. Together they brought 27 children into this world, however, we know of only 16. Of the 16 children, descendants of only 6 are known and we reunite annually. We welcome family, friends, fellow researchers and genealogists to visit our site often for updates and information regarding the contents of this site.
