She was born 05 Jan 1784 in Shenandoah County, Virginia, and died 15 Sep 1849 in Kentucky.

Notes for Elizabeth "Betsy" Crume:
Also known as Betsy.

After her husband died in 1842, it's not known for sure but believed that she probably lived with one or more of her older children and their families. Several of the children had already married by 1842. Three other children married by 1844. Daughter Nancy married in 1843, and sons William and Edmond married in 1844, The youngest child, son Hubbard was nearing his thirteenth birthday when his father died and didn't marry until 1858 in Parke County, Indiana.

From 1845 until her death in 1849, it's believed that Elizabeth and son Hubbard were either living together alone or that they were staying with one or more of the older children's families. It can't be said with certainty where in Kentucky that Elizabeth died but most likely she is buried in Nelson County near Bardstown with her husband.

Marriage Notes for Thomas Thompson and Elizabeth Crume:
The family of Thomas L. Thompson and Elizabeth 'Betsy' Crume appear on tree number 3907 in Volume 4 of the World Family Tree. This was found in Family Tree Maker CD V705_04. All of the children including a direct ancestor of the author, their son Thomas A. Thompson were listed and his marriage date to Sarah Talbot was listed and was a perfect match to information already known. This tree was submitted to World Family Tree on 6/15/1995. No other Thompson generations were listed on this tree. Parents and siblings of Elizabeth 'Betsy' Crume that includes nine generations of the Crume family starting with Elizabeth's parents Jessie and Elizabeth Collins Crume were also found on this tree.

According to Jim Wilkinson, the burial location of Thomas and Elizabeth is at the Thompson Family Cemetery located near the Beech Fork just southeast of Bardstown, Kentucky on the south side of highway US 150. This cemetery was probably on or near the site of the original Thompson homestead. A few years ago in about 2003, Jim was able to locate the cemetery but wasn't able to locate their plot within the cemetery.

Other family members that stayed in Kentucky may be buried in or near the same general area.

The 1880 and 1900 Censuses of their youngest son Hubbard, confirms that Thomas was born in Maryland and Elizabeth was born in Virginia.

	4	iii.	Phebe Sarah Thompson, born 23 Oct 1807 in Nelson County, Kentucky. She married John Lynch 23 Jan 1826 in Nelson County, Kentucky.

John C. Thompson, born Abt. 1813 in Nelson County, Kentucky. He married Sarah E. Bosley 22 Oct 1840 in Washington County, Kentucky.
