Harvest time at the farm of 3rd Great Grandfather Elijah Layton in Romney, Indiana. Elijah is 3rd from the right. Standing behind him 2nd from the right is believed to be 2nd Great Grandfather Joseph Layton. The steam traction tractor in the background is believed to have been one of the first available in the area and probably CO-OP owned and used by farmers in the area for threshing operations. Other men in the picture are believed to be the either the crew that operated the tractor or unidentified sons of Elijah Layton.
