This is the area near Bideford Devon, that My G-G Grandmother Bessie Cann (then Taylor) originated from I would be very interested to hear from anyone who has Cann lineage in these parts. Other links to this name are Stanlake, Stenlake,Taylor, Goodenough, Goodanew, Andrews Just to name a few!Woolfardisworthy (also found to be “Woolbury” during my research) has been shortened to "Woolsery" by the locals for hundreds of years. It is a predominant name used on signs to this rural community. Situated inland, the small community are housed spaciously around the countryside in the quiet corner of North Devon, the village focal points are: the village shop, post office, inn and church.
