When gaining more knowledge and information on your family history, you can sometimes make contact with living descendants who also have an avid interest in family history. One such delight of mine was whilst perusing through the library stumbling upon a book entitled "Growing up in Wales" by Jeffrey Grenfell Hill which spoke of my mothers Taylor Grenfell and Cann lines (pages112-119).Jeffrey is indeed my 1st Cousin 3 times removed. His Grandmother Alice Taylor Married an Ernest Grenfell, This Alice is my G-Grandfather "Campbell Charles Taylor's" sister ~ It just goes to show, that you never know who you will meet or what you are going to find out!.
Dr Jeffrey Du Cann Grenfell-Hill grew up in Brynhyfryd Swansea S.Wales, he worked for many years in the theatre, returned to study history at Swansea University. He was awarded a doctorate for his studies, he has also published plays, poetry and material for teachers.This mini biography can be found on a copy of "Growing up in Wales 1895-1939", Published by Gomer Press.
