Christopher James Colbert c.1895 ~ c.1969 Swansea (28 KB)
1895-1969 My Grandfather born to John Colbert & Lily Beynon in Baptist Wells St Swansea. Christopher had a brother Harry c.1890 who married a Lily Maud Bevan in Swansea He served in the Navy and Army he died in Swansea in 1966.One of his other brother's died young aged 22 through drowning in a local pond ~ Cockett Pond. He also had sisters, Lily & Violet. Christopher served in the 1st world war, he married Violet May Park in November 1938 they had 2 sons & 1 daughter. He died at his family home in Feb 1969 and is buried in Morriston Cemetery with his wife Violet(Park) who died in 1991 and eldest son Derek who died in 2003.
