JAMES LITLE's father, my lost grandfather

Updated September 6, 2000

***
A will for JAMES LITLE was ordered to be recorded in Anson County, NC, in October 1792. In that will, James names his wife NANCY and his children: JOHN, WILLIAM, JAMS, HOSEA, AGNESS and SARAH.
Does anyone have information on the parents of the JAMES LITLE who wrote that will? Even the tiniest clue will be appreciated!

I now have evidence that the JAMS of that will was JAMES, md ELIZABETH RUSHING, had four children, and died abt 1808 leaving his wife and children a dower of land in Anson Co, NC?

The four children of James and Elizabeth Rushing Litle are: REBECKER b1801, WILLIAM b1802, ABLE b1804 and DRUCILLA b1806.

Those four children moved to Bedford Co, TN, with their mother and stepfather, WILLIAM DEASON.

Sometime in the mid 1800s the "LITLE" spelling changes to "LYTLE" and the later spelling prevailed.

ABLE b1804 is my gr gr grandfather. The name in his bible and on his headstone is LITLE. The name of his son, my gr grandfather, is LYTLE on his civil war records and his headstone.
