| William Cole born abt 1730; Thomas Cole, son of William, born Sep 13, 1754 in Darlington County, South Carolina; John Cole Sr ,son of Thomas born abt Apr 18, 1774 in Darlington County,South Carolina; John Sr died in 1834 in Sumpter Dist, South Carolina. He was married to Ashsah Law. One of their twelve children was Noel Cole, born Oct 19,1806 near Bishopville in Sumpter County, South Carolina. He was married to Agnes Ann Law in 1827. Noel passed away Jul 17,1890 near Ben Wheeler, Van Zandt Co., Texas.One of Noel's sons was John Hutson Cole born Jul 15,1839 in Oglethorpe, Macon County, Ga. He died May 10,1913 in Edom, Van Zandt County, Texas. He was married three times. First wife Elizabeth C. Martin, the second wife part of my lineage was Martha Ann Chancellor. They were married Sep 10,1878 in Van Zandt County, Texas. Martha Ann was the daughter of Abraham Chancellor and Winnie Cook Chancellor. He was married last to Mrs AJ Rucker. John Hutson served in the civil war with five brothers. He was injured at Murfreesboro where his brother Daniel Fletcher Cole was killed. Johns first son with Martha was Jerome Lively Cole, my grandfather. Jerome had two wives. The first was Mary Selman Steifer. His second wife, my grandmother was Ivey Marcella Ferguson. They were married Nov 24,1928 in Quanah, Hardeman County, Texas. She was the daughter of John Franklin Ferguson and Elizabeth Iola Veasey. Jerome and Ivey's first child was my father Jerome Franklin Cole. He was born Oct 31,1929 in Medicine Mounds, Hardeman County, Texas. Jerome was married twice. His first wife was my mother, Clarice Pauline Williams. They were married Dec 20,1947 in Mt Vernon, Franklin County, Texas. He died June 21,1994 in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas. She died Mar 1991 in Garland, Dallas County, Texas. I have two sisters both younger than I. Additional lines that I am tracing are Williams Tn-Ark-Texas, Melton from Tn-Ark-Mo-Ark, Ferguson SC-NC-Tx, Moore NC-Tx, Chancellor SC-Ga-Ala-Tx, Steifer Ala-Tx, Hill fr NH-Tn, and Bryan Tn-Tx to name a few.
