Elizabeth died 04 Mar. 1798, her head stone standing in Pond Plain Cemetery, S. Weymouth, MA reads: "In memory of Mrs. Elizabeth, the wife of Capt. Samuel Hovey who died March ye 4, 1798 in the 75th year of her age. Children friends as you pass by on my cold grave cast your eye in this dark place youl quickly be prepare for death and follow me."

Capt. S. Hovey died 09 Feb. 1796, age 78, buried in Pond Plain Cemetery, Weymouth, MA. His head stone reads: "In memory, Capt. Samuel Hovey who died Feburary 9, 1796 in the 78th year of his age, Depart my frinds, dry up your tears, I must lie here till Christ appears."

Possibly Son of Ebenezer Hovey and Joanna Benson, Samuel Hovey, B. 12-12-1718 in Weymouth. Ref. Broterbund WFT Vol. VII #0972 The year of birth and the location, make this a probable match

Notes for Ann Colson:
Ebenezer and Ann (Colson) Shaw resided in Abington where they had several children. Some of these children moved to Western Massachusetts in the 1770s with other Colson family members.
