Notes for Caleb White:
During the Revolution, Caleb turned out on the Lexington Alarm, and in 1776 served in Capt. Trufant's Company of Colonel Robinson's Regiment. In the late 1770s, Caleb and his family became part of the westward migration of family units that migrated from Weymouth and settled in western MA near the present towns of Cummington and Plainfield. In December 1779, he was listed as a surveyor of highways for the town of Cummington, and held office as Selectman for Plainfield, first elected in 1786.
