Mrs. Margaret Emma Drake, wife of WJ Drake of Blue Ridge township, died at the Patterson Memorial Hospital yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock. Mrs. Drake, formely Miss Margaret Banks of Buncombe County, will be buried at Edith Grove at 11 am Tuesday. CS Fullbright will officiate. Pallbearers will be Dolie Rogers, Andie Rogers, Tom Laycock, Andy Stepp, James WElls and Harley Burgess. She is survivied by her husband, one brother, John Banks of Barnardsville, NC; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Brown of Asheville, and Miss Lou Banks of Stacksville, NC; four children Mrs. HM Buckner of Greenville, Mrs. CM Hollingsworth of Hendersonville, and CH (CM) and Eugene Drake, both of Asheville. She leaves also 15 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. (WJ's obit a few months later says 16 grandchildren)
