In the Matter of the Last Will and Testament of Buena Vista Gorenflo, deceased: I. Buena Vista Gorenflo, of Hot Springs, Madison County, NC, do hereby make, declare and publish this, my Will and Testament, First: I want my body to be given a decent burial. Second: I want all my just and honest obligations to be paid. Third: I want a slab marker placed at my grave and also one placed at the grave of my late husband, IH Gorenflo. Fourth: I want my Executor, hereinafter named, to sell my real estate and divide the proceeds, after all expenses and obligations have been paid, as follows: to my daughter, Mildred, $500.00 in CASH: to my son, Frank, $300.00 in CASH. The balance, if any to be equally divided between my other six children. Fifth: To my daughter, Mildred, I bequeath my piano and sewing machine; Sixth: To my son, Hal, I bequeath, his father's roller top desk. Seventh: To my daughters, Grace and Mildred, I bequeath all the remainder of my household goods and furniture, and they are to divide the same between themselves in any way they deem fit. Eighth: I hereby appoint my trusted friend, WT Davis, to be the executor of this my last Will and Testament, without bond, to carry out the terms and conditions of this instrument, and hereby authorize him to sell my real estate, proceeds as I have above designated. This the 6th day, 1937. Witness: Will Fleming and BK Meadows As subscribed and sworn to before Clyde M. Roberts, Clerk Superior Court, Madison County, NC, this 23rd day of August, 1939.
