The Compart Family Home Page

I am researching the Compart and Weinreb families. Compart, a rather unique name, is from my father's side. My great grandfather on my father's side, Hermann, was born in Ruderichslagen, Germany in 1861. I am currently trying to work my way back from this point. My grandmother on my father's side, Vita (Witja) Wainstein (Weinstein) was born in Odessa in 1894. My great grandfather on my mother's side, Hersch, was born in Galicia in the Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1875 and married Gitel Fichman there. The trail goes somewhat cold after that, although I do have a cousin who is researching this more extensively.
