1. ELISHA¹ COMER (UNKNOWN^A) was born Abt. 1795 in NC or TN, and died Abt. 1869 in Terre Hall (Hemlock), Taylor Township, Howard Co., IN. He married REBECCA WILLIAMS September 12, 1817 in Clinton County, OH.

Notes for ELISHA COMER:
Census3: The 1830 Madison County, IN census index lists an 'Elisha Conner', but upon examination of copies of the Census records, it appears that this is actually 'Elisha Comer'. The ages of the children all correspond with the ages of the children of Elisha Comer and Rebecca Williams. A Nathan Comer of similar age is also listed in the 1830 Madison County census, who could be a brother of Elisha. Thomas, Nathan and Elisha are listed in the 1820 Census in Clinton County, Ohio. Only Thomas remains in the 1830 Census. Possibly, Nathan and Elisha were brothers and Thomas was the father. A Nathan Comer of similar age shows up later in Tipton County, Indiana Census records.

                              Comes now James Comer and on his motion he is now appointed Administrator of the above named estate and required to file his Bond for the faithful performance of his duties as Such administrator in the Sum of Eight Hundred dollars with Henry W. Faucher as Surety thereon which Bond he now files, and is in these words and figures to wit (here insert) and the clerk of this court is ordered to issue letters of administration in due form of law to the Said James Comer and this cause is continued.


Ordered that Court adjourn until tomorrow morning at 8 1/2 o'clock.
