4. ELIZABETH2 COMER (ELISHA1, UNKNOWNA) was born 1823, and died 1860. She married HENRY LYNVILLE PUCKETT15 April 17, 1842 in Henry Co., IN16, son of JAMES PUCKETT and SARAH LYNVILLE.

Notes for E
LIZABETH COMER:
NOTES GLEANED FROM WFT Volume 8, Tree: 2784 (Puckett family history) - "Elizabeth Comer married Henry Lynville Puckett in 1842 in Madison County, IN, and died in Anderson, 1860." (I have found the marriage license in Henry County records. I cannot find where Elizabeth Comer died.)

Her parents, Elisha and Rebecca, apparently lived in Madison County, circa. 1830-1839. Elisha entered 40 ac. of land in Richland Twp., Madison Co. in 1837 and sold it for $175.00 in 1839. I have also found that Henry Puckett's mother's maiden name was Lynville. James W. Comer, brother of Elizabeth, had a son named Thomas Linville (Lynville) Comer, who was apparently named after his uncles - Thomas Comer, brother of Elizabeth, and Henry Lynville Pucket, Elizabeth's husband.

Henry and Elizabeth had a son named George Henry Boswell Puckett. Elizabeth's brother, Rev. James Comer's funeral was conducted by Rev. George Boswell of Tipton County, "his old time friend".

Dr. John L. Puckett's biography in the "History of Tipton and Howard Counties, Indiana" states that his parents were married in Henry County, but does not state when. I have located a record from the Indiana State Library Genealogy Division "C-D", Indiana Marriages Through 1850, that lists a marriage between Elizabeth Comer and Henry Puchket (probably Puckett) in Henry Co., IN dated 4/17/1842.

Notes for H
ENRY LYNVILLE PUCKETT:
Moved to Terre Haute, IN in early 1800's. (I cannot verify this. It does not check out in the biography of his son, Dr. John L. Puckett.)

Excerpt from biography of John L. Puckett taken from "History of Howard and Tipton Counties, Indiana" published in 1883. - "H. L. Puckett was married in Henry County, Ind., and in 1846 located near Russiaville, this county, where he worked at blacksmithing and farming. In 1864 he went West; spent two years in Iowa, then he located in Richland County, Wis., where he still lives and works at his trade."
