JAMES COMER

James William comer, retired city fireman, died unexpectedly at his home, 16165 N. Jay St.,. at 9:45 a.m. Thursday, following a brief illness. He was 71.
Arrangements for services and burial are being made by Ellers Funeral Home.
Mr. Comer was born Oct. 4, 1886, at New London, the son (of) Nixon and Mary Ellen (Lee) Comer. He married Miss Lucy Elliott, who survives, in 19+06 and they have resided in the Kokomo area 42 years.
He was a member of the South Side Christian Church. He was a member of the Kokomo Fire Department for 25 years.
Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Allen (Louise) Cuttriss and Mrs. James (Maxine) Givens, both of Kokomo, Mrs. Orville (Mary) Van Blaricon of Columbus, O., and Mrs. Claude (Geneva) Webb of Fulton, N.Y.; a son Don Comer of Bradenton, Fla.; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
