I am currently doing research on the Buchholz family. I am particularly interested in the Chicago area. George and Frances Buchholz lived there from just before the turn of the century. George supposedly died at a fairly early age, and Frances remarried Truman Hill. They had at least 2 sons, William George Buchholz, and Robert Buchholz (Hill), and 2 daughters, Mamie and Catherine. I am also interested in any information available on the Heavener family living in and around Pike and Calhoun Counties in Illinois. Melvina Grover (born in Missouri) and Henry Heavener/Heavner were born approximately 1850-1860. There are 3 daughters listed for them, May Martin, Mabel Oden and Elizabeth Cloninger Bringman. They were all from Pike and Calhoun Counties in Illinois. The other families I am interested in researching include Carl August Rabe, born in Keokuk, Iowa in 1901, and married Mary Elizabeth Clementine Johnson, of Black Springs, AK. They were the parents of 2 daughters and a son. In my search of ancestors, I am also researching the Fowler, Connell, and Lashley families, all of Georgia and Alabama.
