When she was a girl, grandma and her friend baby-sat Gloria Swanson. Gloria went on to become a movie star and grandma always followed her career and the careers of many of her friends Chicago used to be the motion picture capitol before Hollywood. There was a film studio on Argyl between Broadway and Clark St. called S & A Studio. I remember grandma loving to read old movie magazines.
