| This page is dedicated to the families of my maternal Grandfather, Jesse Carroll Pelphrey. Included in these reports are the Pelphrey, Trimble, VanHoose, Lemaster, and Salyer families. Most of these families lived on or about the Big Paint, Barnetts Creek, and Flat Gap sections of Johnson County, Kentucky. The Pelphrey and Lemaster families are particularly ancient in this area. I would like to thank the individuals whose lineages and stories have contributed to making this site possible. I am always looking for more cousins to help complete my telling of these families and would welcome any information you would be willing to share. I would also invite you to check out my other websites: The Connelly Page which chronicles the Connelly, Blair, Rice, and Witten families as well as posts my complete ancestory. The Fairchild Page which details the Fairchild, Hitchcock, Cantrell, and Spradlin families. The Blanton Page which outlines the Blanton, McKenzie, Cantrell, and Davis families. I am also developing a website to join these families together for research and communication at www.connellyclan.com The links for these pages may be found at the bottom of this site. I hope these reports both entertain and inform you concerning the lives of the folks who lived and died in these hills of East Kentucky. |
