I, Asa J. Fairchild of the
County of Johnson and State of Ky. Being of reasonable health and of sound mind
declare this to be my last will and testament:
1st I give and
bequeath to my sons viz: Millard Fairchild, Ed Fairchild, Enoch Fairchild, and
Levi Fairchild and my 2 daughters Mary Fairchild and Nola Hannah, one tract or
parcel of land lying and being in the County of Johnson and State of Ky. And being
a tract of land deeded by A.W. Rice to me in the year 1899, also another tract
of land lying and being in the County of Johnson and State of Kentucky being a
tract of land deeded by Hannah Calhoon to me the aforesaid lands to be shared
by the aforesaid parties in equal parts, also another tract of land in the same
Co. and State being my home farm and the one on which I now live also another
tract of land in the same Co. and State known as the Selvage farm. The last
named tracts of land to be shared by all of my aforesaid heirs in equal parts
as the former tracts as they may agree amongst themselves forever.
2nd The
aforesaid parties to pay my wife, Sarah Fairchild 1/3rd of the
products of the above tracts of land after my death as long as she lives.
3rd I also will
and bequeath to my son, John M. Fairchild the sum of $5.00 five Dollars
4th And will
and bequeath to my son Joseph Fairchild the sum of $5.00 five Dollars to be
paid at my death out of my real estate.
5th I also will
and bequeath to my sons Ed and Millard one mule now owned by me. And I also
will and bequeath to Levi and Enoch the other mule.
6th I also will
and bequeath to my wife and Levi and Mary Fairchild, three cows, also all other
not mentioned above property pf which I may be possessed at my death to belong
to my wife as long as she lives.

J. Fairchild have hereunto set my hand and seal this 16th day of
April, 1906

published and delivered as and for his last will and testament by the above
named testator in our presence who have at his request and in his presence and
in the presence of each other signed our names as witness hereto.

Codicile added April 23rd,
1910
I, Asa J. Fairchild this
day add the following to my will to wit: 1st I will and bequeath to
the heirs of Ed, Millard, and Levi Fairchild the following lands the former
known as the Abe Littman farm ant the tract Lying at the forks of Rockhouse
Creek known as the Hannah Calhoun tract also another tract of land known as the
Shop branch to the above named heirs.
2nd I also will
and bequeath to the heirs of Enoch Fairchild, the tract known as the John
Selvage farm.
3rd I also will
and bequeath to Nola Hannah’s heirs a tract of land lying across the creek from
my residence and adjoining the lands of John Horn and J.H. Conley and being
apart of the home farm.
4th I also will
and bequeath to my daughter Mary Fairchild for lifetime and then to her son,
Dennie Fairchild the remainder of the home farm the above tracts of land, at
the lower end to the one that Shop branch he shall have an acre on the home
farm on the land for a house seat at the small drain, lying and being in the
County of Johnson and State of Ky. And on the waters of Big Paint Creek and
owned by me. The above codicile is intended to revoke all wills or portion of
wills made by me in conflict herewith heretofore.

I, Frank Chandler, Clerk
of the Johnson County Court, do certify the foregoing Will was on the 3rd
day of May, 1920 produced in Open Court for probate and the attestation thereto
was proven by the oath of Jas. B. Lemaster who also proved the signature of the
other two attesting witness, whereupon the same was established by the Court to
be the last will and testament of said Asa Fairchild, deceased and the same was
ordered probated and ordered to be recorded and same has been this day done
according.
