| This page is dedicated to the families of my maternal grandmother, Sally Blanton Pelphrey. The first Blanton to arrive in Johnson County was George Washington Blanton. His son, James Henry founded Blanton Branch on Big Paint. This page is especially rich in photographs. I have photos of my entire lineage from George Washington Blanton through my grandmother. The reports included on this site are those of The Blanton Family, The McKenzie Family of which my grandmother's grandmother, Sarah Ann McKenzie Blanton. The Cantrell Family which produced my grandmother's maternal grandmother, Mary Ann Cantrell Prichard. The Davis Family and the ancestry of Sally Blanton Pelphrey are also included. Be sure to check out the rest of my pages. ConnellyClan.com includes links to all the families I am researching. The Connelly Page includes reports on the Connelly, Blair, Rice, and Witten families as well as my own lineage which stretch back to the late 1400's. The Pelphrey Page traces the roots of my Mamma Pelphrey's husband, Jesse Carroll Pelphrey. The Pelphrey, Trimble, VanHoose, and Lemaster families are currently featured. The Fairchild Page includes reports on the Fairchild, Cantrell, Hitchcock, and Spradlin families. In all my research encompasses over 20,000 individuals, most of whom lived and died in the hills of East Kentucky. I would be remiss if I did not thank all my cousins who help me put this page together. I would especially like to thank, Mrs. Betty Jo Burchett, Mrs. Sharon Cantrell, Mrs. Shiela Bradley and Mrs. Stacy Blanton for the information which they provided. |
