Decendants of William Henry Conley Sr. of Madoc, married to Phoebe Weese, lived in Huntington Township, Hastings County, Ontario Canada, born in Canada. The proprty was on the same road as the Lakeshore Cemetary, and on the N. side of Moria Lake. It is now called the Conley Talc mine. I suspect William had a brother or other relatives in the area, but am unable to get back any further. Also Hattie Noakes the first wife of William Henry Conley Jr. of Madoc Twp, William Henry Jr. later married Elizabeth Sine, after his first wife's death. The lived on a property that is now the Hunt and Fish club on Hunt Club road outside Madoc where they farmed. Other names, Stocklosser, Brady, Bird, Dougherty. Note that on the links below the Link to the Canadian Expeditionary Force for Hubert worked really well at lower resolution, I can barely read it now. Try downloading it, if you really want it I have a copy. The second link is about he Geology of Madoc. My Grandfather Hubert had a bunch of minerals and rocks in boxes. Follow to the 2nd page link to Geology of Madoc and then Canada Talc. Note that the Conley Talc mine is still working and that that was William Henry Conley SR.'s property on Moira Lake in Madoc, Huntingdon Twp., Hastings County.

Now added: My wife's family, Willisons back to the 1600's, (Quaker family) McNeill's of Colonsay, Spences of Islay, Scotland.) Also Hetherington of County Monohan, Ireland.
