Hello Conway researchers. My primary aim with this page is to share, and hopefully receive, information I have gleaned during many years of researching my ancestors. Primarily I am searching for my Conway/Conaway/Coniway lines. In my search over the years I have seen the name spelled in various ways and, in my research of the name itself, I have found that it can be and has been spelled in many other ways beyond what I have seen my ancestors do. Unlike my mother's Craig line, my Conways appear to have been reticent about cutting a wide swathe. I have only been able to prove links to my gg-grandfather, William P. Conway, and, even having said that, I'm not real sure exactly who he was. Primary names related and presented here are; Under the CRAIGE/CRAIG report-CRAIGE/CRAIG, JOHNSTON, KIRKLAND, STOCKARD, BLACKWOOD, STRAYHORN, PICKARD, VOORHIES, NELSON, MITCHELL. Under the Elizabeth Jane DIAL report- CONWAY/CONAWAY, PITTS, BARNETT, DIAL, GREEN, BEDINGFIELD.
CRAIGE/CRAIG researchers be aware that, as I was putting new information into this report, I realized that I had some of the people in the wrong places. Hopefully, I have corrected the errors. Please check Madeline Craig, daughter of David Craig, jr. and Mary (Polly) Gale (ISOM). She was originally carried as David Henderson Craig's daughter. She's not! I have scanned in his auto-biographical sketch which includes his genealogy. G. W. was my 1st cousin 4x's removed. All of you please be aware of one little thing; Some of you have managed to irritate me. I try to be a nice guy but I'm getting old and that doesn't help to improve my disposition, plus, I have already stated that some of my information here may well be incorrect. Many times I don't have a source except to say I got something from another researcher and they may not have provided a source. Therefore it doesn't behoove you to make the mistake of talking down to me or pseudo flaming me. I was doing this before many of you were even gleams and you would be amazed at how well I can flame back. If you can't politely query or correct (with sources), then you really don't want to bother me. I am still at a dead end trying to link my Elizabeth DIAL to the William Perry CONAWAY in Monroe County, MS. If anyone knows anything about this marriage please get in touch with me. The Richard CONAWAY outline here is not proven to be a link to my CONWAYs yet. I am still trying to prove or disprove the William Perry CONAWAY descended of Richard. My Conways are under Elizabeth DIAL as she was also married to Willis GREEN and this way it expands the relations shown.

4/13/02--My address has changed in the past few months as a result of local government interference. Whenever the government gets involved in your life they tend to make life difficult. My e-mail address has changed lately as a result of- I didn't like the other folks.
