THOMAS MCCLURE RICE was born ca 1801 in Poultney, Vermont. He married ELIZABETH WILSON, (b. ca 1805, County Down, Ireland), in 1824 in Marietta, Washington Co., Ohio.Thomas, Elizabeth and their four children, James, Mary L, Oliver H. and William Wilson moved to Texas ca 1836, settling in DeWitt County. Thomas was killed at the Battle of Salado Creek in 1842, fighting for the Republic of Texas. Their youngest child, Thomas Richard, was only a few months old.I am researching all descendants of THOMAS and ELIZABETH. |
