Charles McLean was a jack of many trades. He sold highway signs, owner of a Motel, chef, chauffeur, manager of apartments, but most of his life was spent being a bartender for his father-in-law and Leta Bishop in a small town called Lusk, Wyoming. His friends called him Chuck or Mac. He was a sharp looking fellow and very mellow type of person.

The one thing his youngest daughter remembers receiving from her father which is valued greatly is the gift of his daily prayer. She loved his prayer and has tired to carry on his tradition of saying it daily. It went as follows:

If I live a life that is clean and square;
Help my fellow man whenever I can;
I need not fear what the future may bring;
Nor what the results may be;
As someone up there will take care of me.
