 Includes NotesNotes for Georgia Miller:
Georgia and her husband adopted a boy and his name is Richard. Georgia ended up divorcing Carl and lived in her own home in Denver, Colorado. During that time she worked to jobs to make ends meet. She never remarried.

Later it was found that she had a boyfriend and today they are very close friends.

The car accident mentioned under Orpha earlier did not leave any injuries to Georgia. After retiring she had a house built in the country at Lingle, Wy. where she lives today.

A couple of years ago she had heart surgery which was a success, however she almost died from staph infection. There was a two year bout with recovery. During her recovery time her son, Dick, sold much of her stuff in her home, charged on her charge cards to the max, burnt numerous tings in the fireplace and had parties all the time in her home. So after recovery Georgia went home basically with nothing in her home nor her bank accounts.

With the help of Charles Thomas McLean and her boyfriend of many years she was able to gain control and get back on her feet. Today she is back home with her dogs and cats and very content. Her son has been disowned.

Georgia and her husband adopted a boy and they named him George Richard Cline. Georgia ended up divorcing Carl and lived in her own home in Denver, Colorado. During that time she worked two jobs to make ends meet. One was as a secretary to Eli Lilly and Company and the other was working for a Department Store as a sales clerk.

In later years she revealed that she had a close relationship with a man she met in Denver and that the relationship lasted over a decade. They are very close friends and he passed away in 1996.

Georgia at one time belonged to the Niobrara Chapter #26 Order of the Eastern Star in the late 1940's and through the 1950's.

Georgia was a single parent raising her adopted son in Denver, Colorado. She enjoyed raising Chow dogs and Silver Persian cats.

In 1974 Georgia Cline received the President's Award in recognition of her contribution toward the excellent sales record achieved by her district.

In recent years Georgia also volunteered as a tutor for children in schools at Torrington. Upon first retiring she also enjoyed baby sitting those children around her.

Georgia loved writing poems throughout her lifetime. In her records I found two poems that she asked her mother to save to remind her of happier times.. They were written 7/25/1936 and are as follows:

"Forgotten Pain"
Through the night I stumbled,
Hands torn by thorns,
Feet bleeding from the stones
Along the way.
Blinded by scalding tears,
I could not see
The light at the end of the path,
and you awaiting me.

It was only a moment ago
That I suffered unbearable pain,
But now I feel nothing but Joy--
I'm in your arms again.

"Flame"
Like a taper,
Tall, cold and white I stand
Until you pass my way.

Then I am suffused
In radiant, red-gold beauty
As a candle touched by flame.

But far too soon is arbor dead--
The Flame extinguished by a vandal's hand;
And only a charred and ugly being remains.

One of the things we will all remember about Georgia is that she never forgot a birthday or holiday. She remembered old and young alike. She enjoyed writing and sending cards to many many of her friends and family.

Carol Cooper did the Homily at Georgia's funeral:

Good morning. I am Georgia's youngest niece Carol Cooper. On behalf of our family we would like to thank all of you who joined us today to celebrate Georgia's life. Many have at one time or another made house visits, hospital visits, took Georgia to doctor visits, shopping or out to dinner, and numerous of other things. We would like to express our appreciation for all the support and consideration you gave Georgia and know Georgia appreciated it also.

After working at Eli Lilly and company in Denver for many years she returned to the place she loved the most to live out her life. She had many friends here and she loved the people who lived here. It was "Here" she had the "Comfort of Being At Home".

Georgia loved children, her son, her chow dogs and many Blue Silver Persian cats. With Children she loved to baby sit and tutor and just be around them. It was her cats that were the love of her life. Every time I'd go to visit she would have 3 or 5 new kittys. Just at a glance she could tell you the name of the kitten and what type of personality she/he had. To me they all looked the same. Why even their "meows" were the same to me. But not Georgia! She could name the cat that was fussing and even tell you what the cat was saying and fussing about!

I can remember her getting excited over he class reunions that she'd attended. She enjoyed seeing her old classmates again.

Georgia loved animal videos, especially jack Hanna Productions and their T. V. Bloopers. An animal show on T.V.? Yes, she'd be there.

Game shows was on her lists of "likes". Her favorite was "Wheel of Fortune". She was good at it too and mentioned one time of wanting to play the Wheel. I Don't believe she got into "Who wants to be a Millionaire" but given time she'd be hooked on that too. After all ~~ the one thing Aunt Georgia and I had in common was wanting to win the "BIG" one! Aunt Georgia always remembered our birthdays and holidays. She enjoyed writing poems, knitting or crocheting, and would play a few card games. She loved going out to eat, a favorite of mine as well, and she enjoyed a nice glass of wine.

Like the rest of us she had many obstacles to overcome in the past 88 years and with overcoming those obstacles came the realization of her willpower and heart.

Georgia will be greatly missed in this family. However, we celebrate with joy and are happy knowing that she has joined her parents and sister crossing over to everlasting life where there she will find peace and love and the "Comfort at Being Home".

End.
