Family History.. The Husted's Family, found in Belva Neighbor's Information

As far as I knew the Husted's looked up to Isaac Husted, who was a Christian Union Minister. They semed to have pioneering impulses, as Isaac was in Ohio and Iowa when they were young. E. B. Husted settled farther west, in Nebraska, and E. A. Husted homesteaded in western South Dakota.

In the younger generation, Dwight Wayne Husted was a planner in Airplane Factories and then a manager. His father was a foreman in the trades he mastered. Cecil did roof contracting and his father was also a contractor. Cecil was also a paratrooper and became an airplane pilot. As far as I know they all enjoyed music. D. W. Husted sang, played the harmonica, piano, and violin in his life. His children sang and played instruments. So did Cecil's boy, enough to get a music scholarship. Denis, Wayne's son, also go a music scholarhip.

E. A. Husted's cousins, the Milburn's, were music teachers and teachers. His children, Belva, Neva, Cecil enjoyed teaching. But Neva played the violin on ratdio stations in South Dakota and in Iowa. Her daughter Elizabeth also go a music scholarship. Belva's daughter played her violin in orchestras but married young. Her brothers' had a definate hobby of listening to music. Isaac Husted "was fond of music, had a good voice, led the choir" and played the violin.

As with many families, the pioneers farmed. Most of the Husted decendants liked the soil and had hobbys of gardening and landscaping.

A Husted decendant, cousin Merwyne DeWayne Riddle, has been a missonary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, is a High Priest, and has been in a Bishopric. He is an executive engineer of a company. His mother, sister, and his family are also L.D.S. The families of A. Juniata Husted (except the father) are all also L.D.S., but some are just baptized.
