1682 - Abraham was in Lancaster Co. VA by this date. He moved further up the Northern Neck into Richmond Co. (Formed in 1692 from Old Rappahanock Co.), where he was a Planter and owned several tracts of land.

24 March 1699: Richmond Co. Deed Book, Vol. 3, p. 54: William SMYTH of North
Farham Parish deeded 150 acres on Moratico Creek, on N side of Rappahannock
River, part of a quarter order of 498 acres to Abraham GOAD.

1701: Halifax Co. Va. Abraham Goad supposedly obtained a land grant there.

1 March 1724: Richmond Co. Deed Book, Vol. 8, p. 273: Abraham GOAD and son William
deeded a tract of land to William DOWNMAN.

1 July 1734: Richmond Co. Will Book Vol. V, p. 238, Dated 7 March 1733; Abraham
GOAD's will was proven. (Inventory on p. 240). Exectutrix was his wife "Catherine." He signed his name "AG."

The Registers of North Farnham Parish 1663-1814 and Lunenburg Parish 1783-1800 Richmond County Virginia compiled by George Harrison Sanford King pages 71 & 72 lists the births of Abraham Goad's children.

In Abraham's will he left to his grandson William Goad, Jr. "the plantation where Mary Goad now lives; (to his) son John and his wife all the land above the north fork of the Briery Swamp; (to his) son Abraham all the land on the south side of my spring branch, if he has no heirs to son Peter; to Peter land on the north side of spring branch, if he has no heirs to son Abraham." He also mentioned his daughters Hannah Phillips, Elizabeth Dodson, and Alice Dodson, and wife Catherine.[debord.FTW]
