Notes for I
SAAC OGDEN:
CSA GA Records Vol. 5 pg.637 Co. B 54th Reg. GA vol. Inf. CSA Army of Tenn./Appling County

      Present 2/28/63 Roll
      page 634

Notes from Ross F. Rogers III CSA research notes (excerpts): Four of the Ogden brothers were in the Civil War. Three (Issac, John, and Isham C.) joined together the Georgia State Troops, Company K, 2nd Regiment, 1st Brigade on October 10, 1861. On April 21, 1862, the Georgia State Troops were incorporated into the Confederate States Army and Issac, John, and Isham were assigned to Company B of the 54th Georgia Volunteer Infantry, Army of Tennessee, CSA. Company B was an Appling County Unit. Issac .... was a Private.

Information on the three brothers who stayed together is sketchy.... It is known that Issac was present on the rolls 2/28/63. It appears Issac and Isham fought the whole war with the Army of Tennessee. (Vicksburg, Chattanooga, Atlanta, Franklin, Nashville, Bentonville?). All this information is from Georgia CSA Records Volume 5, page 309. It probably comes from the individuals CSA Service records.
