Morris built and owned a duplex in Youngstown. Rose and Morris lived in it until their home was built on Tod Lane. William and Mathilda (Till) lived downstairs and Adrian and Gladys lived upstairs. Herb and Esther Leebaw fell on hard times and moved in to Will and Till's 2 bedroom apartment with their 3 children. Morris raised their rent because after all they would be using more water. When the New York family found out about this they were furious. How could their brother Morris to this to his sister. So, Henry wrote to Morris and chastised him about it. He also wrote to Morris's mason's group to tell them about this. At Tillie's funeral there were angry words from Henry to Morris.
Morris did have an affair or affairs. Adrian as a young man followed Morris and found him with another woman.
Morris's siblings were not happy with him: especially the older brothers. They needed financial help during the depression. He was quite financially secure and didn't help out.
Morris went to college at Columbia University.
