She had her own bank account in Cleveland while she lived in Youngstown. It was a secret from Morris. She took money he had given her and put it away. He found out as he had to pay taxes on it. He was very angry.

Rose told other women, "Any woman who doesn't have a bank account of her own is a damn fool."
