Roy O.Brown,116 Glenwood Court, San Antonio, Texas, born April 17, 1900, entered rest Friday Feb. 9, 1973 at his residence at the age of 72 yrs. Memorial services will be held in St. Pauls Lutheran Church, 2302 S. Presa, Tuesday Feb. 13th at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. William A. Johnson officiating. Concluding services will follow in Mission Burial Park, South. Survivors: Wife, Mrs. Elsie Brown of San Antonio, daughters, Mrs. Bryan (Barbara Ann) Richardson, Mrs. Marilyn Carpenter of San Antonio, Mrs George (Madlyn) Walden of San Jose, Calif. brother, Delion Eli Brown of San Antonio, 6 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Mr. Brown was a resident of San Antonio for 53 years. He was a member of the American Legion Churchmons Post No.235, Ist Vice-President of Amalgamated Association of Streetcars, Elect., Railway and Motor Coach Employees of America No. 694, W.W. I Veterans of Zapata Texas and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The family appreciates the beauty and sentiment of flowers, however if their friends so desire they may make a contribution to St. Paul Lutheran Church organ fund. under the direction of the Leion Cude family. Roy Osborn Brown had 3 sisters and one brother, Delton Eli Brown, Dora Rachael Brown Majors. Dora's husband just lived one year after they married. She was an seamstress at Joske's for 25 years and made beautiful wedding dresses. She sewed for Marilyn and made her prom dresses. Mamie Annie Brown and her husband Elija Varner and Cornelia Brown Pace who lived in Stockdale.
