TEAL AND VAUGHN GENEALOGY - INCLUDING THE COLLATERAL FAMILIES OF:

This information has been prepared in order to document our ancestors and hopefully to present a correct written record for our children and grandchildren, as well as future generations.

There are still names to be added and more generations, especially of the collateral families. I have been doing extensive genealogy research on our ancestors for more than 15 years. I have traced our roots back to Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, New Hampshire, Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Alabama. I am trying to ascertain if the Josiah Bartlett who signed the Declaration of Independence was from "our" line of Bartlett's. I have newspaper clippings, obit articles, photographs, Bible entries, and Church History Books dating back to the 1800's in Marshall County and Etowah County, Alabama.

I am very grateful for the "cousins" who have so freely shared their information, happy to find "new" cousins. I have a multitude of entries in Family Tree Maker, Version 11. However, these pages are continuously "under construction/consolidation" and are not quite ready for GEDCOM publishing. However, I will gladly share any information. I have worked very hard on this endeavor so please do NOT copy my information or photographs without my permission if you intend to publish/sell.

While this material has been compiled from several sources, it may contain errors. I have made every possible attempt to verify the information I have included. Your comments and/or corrections are invited.

LOUIS MARION TEAL (23 KB) Undated photo of Louis (Lewis??) Marion Teal (aka L.M. Teal, William Teal, and Marion Teal). He was the spouse of Georgia Bell Bowman Teal; the father of I. V. Teal Vaughn and my maternal grandfather. After the birth of their 11th child; L.M. Teal moved to Arkansas and later fathered four children with Nora Maguire. GEORGIA BELL BOWMAN TEAL (7 KB) Georgia was the spouse of Louis/Lewis Marion (L.M.) Teal, and the mother of I. V. Teal Vaughn (and 10 other children). This is my maternal grandmother.
