My great-grandfather Carl August Copenhagen, traveled from Germany arriving in New York on December 22, 1854, aboard the bark Rastede. He traveled under the name of August Schloser with his step-father August F.W. Schloser, mother Louisa Baber Schloser, Albert, his half-brother and Carolena, his half-sister. They departed Germany from the port of Bremen listing their final destination as Cincinnati. Their last residence in Germany is listed as Hanover.

The first information I can find for them is in Livingston Co., KY in the 1860s. August Sr. had given his occupation as "cooper".

My father married Perlina Mooney in Oregon Co., MO. Her lines are Mooney, Couch and Langston.

The Baugh and Pursley families were included in this tree with the birth of my daughter. They both had early origins in Barren Co., KY. They migrated to Illinois and Indiana.

My marriage brought to our family Copeland, Holifield and Burkhead.
