Updated August 31, 2009

From France, England, Germany and Canada they all came to America! On the "Mayflower" in 1620, the "Fortune" in 1621, the "Charlemagne" in 1834 and the "City of Rome" in 1886....they came to find a better life, so that we, their children can pursue the greatest of freedoms.

Some surnames include:

BAUM, BERGERON, CAWEIN, CHEENEY, COFFEE, CORBEIL, DISHONG, DUBOIS, EDDY, FUGERE, GUNHOUSE/GANAHASE, MCBRIDE, MELLODEW, PURDY, WARREN,

I am especially interested in the trying to find the parents of Nancy PURDY who married Harnden EDDY. I believe her parents may have been Benjamin PURDY (Joseph5, Obadiah4, Joseph3, Joseph2, Francis1), b. c. 1767 who married a HONEYWELL - possibly a daughter of Isaiah HONEYWELL and Martha HUTCHINSON. See the link below for Descendants of Benjamin PURDY and Dorcas EDDY - Harnden's sister.

My book 'Family is Forever' will be published in late 2008.

"Karin (Baum) Corbeil has been researching her family’s lineage for over 20 years.

She became inspired in 1982 when, after the death of her father, she found a number of documents, letters and pictures dating back to the mid 19th century. The discovery of the original Civil War Pension papers of her great grandfather, George Baum, began a never-ending pursuit that is now commemorated in this book.

Follow her investigative journey through personal memories, family letters and photographs of the Corbeil and Baum families. This book has undoubtedly been a labor of love written for her children, grandchildren and future generations."
