Mrs. Rachel Elvira Goff, daughter of the late Mr. Henry Tucker and Mrs. Clarisa Montgomery Tucker, was born March 20, 1919 in Green County and departed this life at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 1980 at the Audubon Hospital in Louisville. She was 61 years, one month and 10 days of age. She was a resident of 518 Crescent Hill Court, Campbellsville. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the South Campbellsville Baptist Church at the time of her death. She united in marriage to Mr. Holman Goff March 14, 1936 and he preceded her in death April 11, 1974. To this union were born two daughters and three sons: Mrs. Elizabeth Humphress, Mrs. Beverly Mitchell, Thomas R. Goff and Henry Leslie Goff, all of Campbellsville and Jesse Holman Goff, Greensburg. Mrs. Goff is also survived by one brother: Henry R. Tucker, Louisville; four sisters: Mrs. Susie Burd, Hodgenville; Mrs. Jennie Davenport and Mrs. Lorena Dunn, both of Greensburg and Mrs. Irene Yarberry, Columbia; six grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, May 2, 1980 with burial in the Bennett Cemetery. Rev. John Pendleton officiated. Pallbearers were: Glenn Burd, Billy Ray Burd, Johnny Adkins, Billy Davenport, Buddy Davenport, and Mike Burd.

Mattie Bell Perry Montgomery, age 91, of 210 W. Court Street, Greensburg, departed this life on Thursday, June 15, 1995, at the Taylor County Hospital. She was born in Green County on April 26, 1904, to the late John Thomas Perry and Iceyephene Goff Perry.
She had professed a faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Gladys Johnson of Frankfort and Carol Sue Ferguson of Greensburg; four sons, B.J. Montgomery, Harold Montgomery and Billy Montgomery of Greensburg, James H. Montgomery of Campbellsville; one sister, Ellenora Hay of Horse Cave; 28 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, Fred Montgomery, and her husband, Fred Montgomery, on July 24, 1989. Her daughter, Joyce Dixon, preceded her in death earlier this year.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 17, at the Warren F. Toyler Funeral Home with burial in the Montgomery Cemetery. Bro. Gary Ervin and Bro. Ed Montgomery officiated over the service with music provided by the Aarons.
Active pallbearers were David Montgomery, Donnie Perry, Kenneth Hay, Benny Montgomery, Bobby Montgomery and Patrick Ferguson.
Honorary pallbearers were Scotty Montgomery, John Montgomery, Jeffrey Montgomery, Allen Montgomery, Paul Montgomery, Steve Slinker and Phillip Burkett.

Fred Montgomery, age 89, of 210 West Court Street, Greensburg, departed this life on Monday, July 24 (1989) at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown after a lengthy illness. He was born in Green County on August 15, 1899 to the late Benjamin Franklin Montgomery and Nancy Susan Clark Montgomery.
He is survived by his wife, Mattie Bell Perry Montgomery, who he married in 1919.
To this union were born three daughters: Joyce Dixon and Carol Sue Ferguson of Greensburg, and Gladys Johnson of Frankfort; four sons: B.J. Montgomery, Harold Montgomery and Billy E. Montgomery, all of Greensburg, and James H. Montgomery of Summersville; two brothers: Freeman Montgomery and Jimmie Montgomery, both of Greensburg; 26 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister Mary Frances Montgomery.
He was a member of the Ladies Chapel United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 27 at the Warren F. Toyler Memorial Chapel with burial in the Montgomery Cemetery. Rev. Lanny Gardner and Rev. Gary Ervin officiated over the services.
Honorary pallbearers were Kenneth Hay, Paul Montgomery and Ed Montgomery.
Active pallbearers were Donnie Perry, Bennie Montgomery, John Montgomery, Jeffrey Mark Montgomery, Phillip Burkette and Tony Burkette

To this union were born 1 son and 2 daughters: Samuel Stephen slinker and Lynda Curry, both of Greensburg. Miss Doris Jewell Slinker preceded her mother in death in 1933. Mrs. Slinker is also survived by 2 sisters: Mrs. Mattie Montgomery of Greensburg and Mrs. Elnora Hay of Horse Cave. Seven grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends also survive. Remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 3 pm Sun 13 Nov with burial in the Kessler Cem. Revs. Norman Douglas and Don Gowin officiated. Active pallbearers were Ray Slinker, Donnie Perry, Kenneth Hay, Harold Montgomery, Morrison Curry, Robert mcKinney, John Burkholder III and Victor Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers were James Allen Wallace, Ricky Atwell, Wooodrow McKinney Dennis Simpsson, Ronald Curry, Jimmy Lobb, Albro McCubbins, Buford Pierce, J.T. Henderson, Melvin Lile and Stanley Simpson.
