This page is under construction. First and most importantly, all information on this web page is of deceased persons. Any living descendants are not included. Currently all the information was obtained from my grandmother, Iola Stutzman Golec, or from my own personal research. When information is obtained from another person, that person will be recognized for their contribution. The Fritz/Stutzman/Golec family is from my maternal side while the Fry/Collopy/Taylor family is from my paternal side.

My family research consists of research in Southern New Jersey, Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southwestern Pennsylvania.

My research also consists of any information about a pistol patented in 1859 by Jessie S. Butterfield. Another research project consists of carousels, particularly a carousel owned and operated by Clarence Taylor in Cape May, New Jersey; Spring City, Pennsylvania; Falling Waters, West Virginia; Parkersburg, West Virginia.

The following are family surnames that are of interest to my genealogy. Cossaboon-Karsebaum (dutch spelling) of Holland; Butterfield, Taylor, Stutzman, Collopy, Golec, Boryszewski.

I have very little information on my Collopy family. My Great Great Grandfather James Collopy immigrated from Ireland. His birth year is estimated at 1831. His immigration year is unknown. His wife was Ann Casey. She was born in England according to US federal census. Her dates are unknown. It is unknown whether they married in Europe or met and married in the United States. They had three children. William Collopy 1858-1936. Catherine Collopy 1860-1900. John Collopy 1862-1936. William never married. Catherine married Michael Brady. John married Ada Mae Fry. The three children were born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. John and William lived in Spring City, Chester County, Pennsylvania. The whereabouts of Catherine and Michael Brady are unknown except they are buried in Philadelphia. I assume they lived all their lives in Philadelphia. James Collopy died in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 7 June, 1891. James, Catherine, Michael are buried in New Cathedral Cemetery Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. William and John are buried in Spring City Pennsylvania. Any help in putting these families together would be greatly appreciated. I would like to hear from you.
