I am researching Richard Coulter, born about 1710 in Middletown, Cumberland County, PA. Many of his descendants have lived in Blount County, TN which is where I still live today. The Coulters have been in Blount County since at least 1797.

Many members of our family fought for the colonies in the Revolutionary War (Cumberland Co. Militia) and for the Confederacy in the War between the States. My most notable ancestor is probably Alexander Hamilton Stephens who was the Vice President of The Confederate States of America.

If you have any further information on this line of Coulters or would like to share files, please feel free to email me.
