I am researching the family names of Wilson (orginally from Tennessee), Cary (orginally from Kentucky), Beavers (orginally from Tennessee), Marsh, McGee, Dow, Gage, and Frasier (basically from the same areas). My part of the family settled in and around the whole East Texas area. Gilmer, Longview, Wills Point, Gladewater, Big Sandy are just a few of the towns where they are scattered. My grandparents were John Alex Wilson and Ada Lee Cary. On the Wilson side my ggrandparents were Thomas A. Wilson and Mollie Adelia Marsh. On the Cary side they were William James Cary and Sarah Ann Beavers.
The story goes that my grandparents were married in a wagon. On the way to town, they met the preacher on the road. He was on his way to perform another wedding. Both parties stayed in their wagons to perform the ceremony.

John and Ada had 7 children: Irma Lee, Juel Belle, Opal Christine, John Thomas, Velma Lucille, Leo Alvis, and Katy Vee.

I have done a bit of research on the Dunns' of Arkansas. I don't know a lot about them as yet.

If you see a name that is familiar e-me. I don't know a lot about any of these families. I am new to genealogy and am learning as much as I can as fast as I can. I am willing to share with any and all.

So, like I said, "If you're from East Texas, we're cousins."

Thanks for any and all help,
Dee Couvillon
