Updated September 6, 2000I am currently researching the Couch family of Eastern Kentucky.The Couches migrated from Wilkes County, North Corolina to Perry, Clay, Leslie and Harlan County, Kentucky around 1806 - 1810. Many other families migrated with them. John Couch and his wife Polly Boone had a family in the Wilkes County, North Carolina area. Many of their children moved to Eastern Kentucky. Some of their children that came to KY are Martin, James, Austin, John Couch, Jr., Polly Couch Campbell, Sally Couch Lewis, and Rebecca Couch Lewis. |
