| I am primarily researching the following surnames: Courtney, Susong (my paternal grandmother's maiden name), Parrish (my mother's maiden name) & Estes (my maternal grandmother's maiden name. I am certain of the information I have back to my great-grandfather, George Washington Courtney (b. 5/18/1826; d.6/25/1909), but what I have beyond him is somewhat uncertain. Most of what I know about all branches of my family centers around the Eastern TN area. With the help of other family members, I have traced the Susongs back to Andrew, Sr. who immigrated from France in the 18th century. I have much less info on the Parrish & Estes branches of my family and would love to make contact with others in the family interested in sharing information. I am happy to share anything that I have that might help someone else. |
