Born in Kingston, she was the former Annie McQuaid. She had resided here until the time of her marriage. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Agnes Grate, Mrs. Theresa Marchand, and Bridget McQuaid, all of Rochester, N. Y. She was predeceased by her husband several years ago and by two brothers, Joseph, Buffalo, N.Y. in 1934 and William, Kingston, in 1937. A sister, Mary (Martin) Delaney Columbus, O., died in 1934. Requiem high mass will be sung Monday at 9at St. Mary's Cathedral. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Kingston, British Daily Whig, "Obituary of James Alexander Robinson," January 16, 1918, page 2, James Alexander Robinson, one of the best known hair-dressers in Toronto, died at his residence, 122 Cambridge avenue, Riverdale, on Monday. For twenty three years he conducted a hair dressing business on Yonge street. Prominent among his patrons were the late Sir George Ross... Sir James Whitney, former premiers of the provice of Ontario. His shop on Yonge sreet was the place of call for many members of the former Ontario chainets. Deceased, who was fifty three years of age was a native of Kingston. The remainds arrived in Kingston, Tuesday morning, and the funeral is to take place Thursday morning to St. Mary's Cathedral. Deceased is survived by his wife, mother, and one sister, all of Toronto.

The Kingston Whig Standard, Kingston, Ontario, Canada, "Obituary of William McQuaid," Tuesday, May 18, 1937, page 3, WILLIAM MCQUAIDE William McQuaide, 75, a life-long resident of Kingston, died at the Hotel Dieu Hospital on Tuesday morning. He had been confined to hospital for the past six weeks, having suffered a fractured hip as the result of a fall. Mr. McQuaide was born on Russell Street, died on Russell Street and lived on that street practically all his life. In his earlier years Mr. McQuaide was a carpenter by trade and later in the cab business. He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and Holy Name Society. His wife predeceased him sixteen years ago as did a daughter, Mary, three years ago. Surviving him are six sons, Edward and Bertram of Belleville, Stanley, Vincent, and Norman of Kingston, and Leo of Ottawa; three daughters, Ethel of Belleville, Mrs. E.N. McKegg and Miss Eleanor McQuaide of Windsor; four sisters, Mrs. A. Robinson of Toronto and Miss B. McQuaide, Mrs. A. Grate and Mrs. T. Marchand, all of Rochester, N.Y. The funeral will be held from his residence, 83 Russell Street, Thursday morning to St. Mary's Cathedral where requiem mass will be sung at nine o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

JoeMcCauley, and co-celebrated by Rev. Art Connell. Interment followed at St. James Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tim Gooding, Robin Sagriff, Carter Maracle, and Bill Wayne and Jerome McQuaid. Mrs. McQuaid passed away at Montgomery Lodge on Jan. 7, 1999, in her 92nd year. Mrs. McQuaid was born in Lavant, Ontario and was the daughter of the Late Robert and Eunice Richardson. She was predeceased by her husband, the Late Edward John McQuaid, and by two daughters and four sons: Mrs. Theresa (Pete) Stapper and Mrs. Lorraine (Jim Cassidy); and by sons; Edward (wife Lennise), Edmund, Stanley (wife Marie) and James (wife Cecelia). She is survived by seven daughters and four sons: Mrs. Rita (and husband Doug) Nolan of Calgary; Mrs. June (late Ken) Nolan, rancis (and wife Mary) McQuaid, all of Belleville; Mrs. Mary (late Leonard) Maracle, of Deseronto; Bernard (and wife Cathy) McQuaid of Ajax; Mrs. Pat (and husband Jack) Gooding of Young's Point; Mrs. Eunice (and husband Don) Thrasher, of Ottawa; Mrs. Joan (and husband Henry) Capener, of Brockville; Mrs. Geraldine (and husband Clinton) Sagriff, of Odessa. Mrs. McQuad as also loved by 62 grandchildren, 80 great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. Mrs. McQuaid worked for many years at Hasting Manor as a health care worker. She was widowed in 1946 at the age of 39, and raised her large family alone from that point. She was an excellent cook, mother and homemaker, and was held in high esteem by her entire family."

Ontario Intelligencer, Belleville, Ontario, Canada, "Obituary of William Bertram McQuaid," Monday, March 22, 1948, page 2, BERTRAM MCQUAID- A well known and highly respected resident of this city in the person of Bertram McQuaid, C.N.R. conductor and resident at 50 Geddes Street, died in the Belleville General Hospital late on Sunday evening. He had been in failing health for some years but was working when he was stricken with a stroke on Friday and succumbed on Sunday despite medical aid. The late Mr. McQuaid was born in Kingston 51 years ago, being the son of William McQuaid and Ellen McMahon. Until 30 years ago, when he joined the C.N.R., he resided in Kingston and since coming to this city he has taken an active part in the social, religious, and business life of this community. He was highly respected by his employers and fellow employees and his loss will be keenly felt among a wide circle of friends. Bert joined the C.N.R. as a brakeman and was soon classed as a conductor and practically all his railway life has been spent in this city. He was a member of St. Michael's Church and took an active interest in the work of the parish. He wa a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Holy Name Society, the Loyal Order of the Moose and the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen. Left to mourn are his wife, the former Edith Venoss, two sons, Joseph Edward of Chicago, Ill., Bertram William of this city. Another son, Flt. Sgt. William Vincent was killed in action in 1942. There are three daughters, Mrs. Harry (Carmel) Ryan, Belleville; Mrs. Helen Rosinet, Chicago, Ill. and Mrs. James (Alice) Tugnette, Belleville; three sisters, Miss Ethel McQuaid of Belleville, Miss Eleanor McQuaid of Kingston, Mrs. Olive McKegg of Windsor and four brothers, Stanley, Vincent, and Norman of Kingston, and Leo of Ottawa and seven grandchildren. The funeral announcement is made elsewhere in this edition.

The funeral was largely attended and there were numerous spiritual and floral offerings.

Mr. McQuaid had been in failing health for the past five years. He was born in Kingston, the son of the late William McQuaid and Ellen McMahon, and had lived all his life in the city. He was employed as a store clerk at the aluminum plant. Mr. McQuaid had a keen interest in sports and was an active participant until ill health intervened. He was also a member of the Separate School Board and the Holy Name Society, and attended St. John's the Apostle Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Eva Cormier, of Moncton, N.B.; one daughter, Mrs. W. Palmer (Olive) of Kingston; two sons, Donald and Gary of Kingston; three sisters, Mrs. E. N. McKegg (Olive) of Windsor, Ethel McQuaid of Belleville and Eleanor McQuaid of Kingston; two brothers, Leo of Ottawa and Vincent of Kingston."

He was a civil servant in the Pay Corps at headquarters and there was a gaurd of honor from the Pay Corps at the funeral. The deceased was a member of the Church of St. John the Apostle, the Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus. When he was in good health he was an enthusiatic hunter and fisherman and a member of the Rod and Gun Club. He is survived by his wife, the former Kathleen Martin; three sisters, Mrs. E. N. (Olive) McKegg, Windsor; Miss Ethel McQuaid, Belleville; Miss Eleanor McQuaid, Kingston; and three brothers, Stanley and Vincent of Kingston and Leo of Ottawa. Two brothers predeceased him."
