I have researched my COWAN ancestory back to Samuel COWAN Jr, who immigrated from Ireland in 1726, settling in Pennsylvania. He was one of seven brothers who came to America together. Two of his descendants (my line) eventually settled in Franklin Co., TN around 1806, via Virginia and North Carolina. Any information you have on any of the other brother's descendants would be helpful to complete my research. The brothers were: Andrew, David, James, John, Matthew, Samuel Jr., and William.
I have also begun researching the POWELL family, my maternal ancestors. I have very limited information on them, other than my GGgrandfather was William POWELL, from Bedford Co., TN. His son was Robert Mitchell POWELL, who's son was Robert Sevier POWELL (my grandfather), all from Bedford Co., TN.

Any information anyone can share will be greatly appreciated. I will share any information I have as well.
