The primary surnames being reseached are Cowing, Hanscom, Lewis, Lancaster and Coombs. I am trying to locate a record of the marriage of Israel Cowing and Deborah Turner ca 1749 and records of the births of their children. Thomas Hanscom arrived in Kittery, Maine in the mid-1600's. I am trying to determine where he came from and the surname of his wife Ann. Abijah Lewis married Rebecca Melcher of Falmouth, Maine in March 1756, he may possibly have come from France. My Lancaster line goes back to Joseph Lancaster of Amesbury, MA in the mid-1600s, I am looking for information on his parents and where he came from. There were numerous intermarriages between the Cowings and Coombs in the Lisbon-Bath area. Other allied families include: Brier, Page,Tourtellotte, Mansell, Gould, Carter, Hoyt, Perkins, Turner, Balch, Litchfield, McKenney, Johnson, Whitney, Fogg, Rogers, Berry, Irish, and Melcher. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
