Cowherd Family Past

I am trying to find some information on our family back past the1730's. This is hard because that is the time of slavery.
My great great grandparents were born into slavery. Belle Averitt and Dan Durrett (Daniel Boone). They are buried in
Bradsfordsville in Kentucky. Belle Averitt Mother's Last Name
Was Shanklin.

Some other areas I know we lived in were, Lebanon, St.Mary's,
Campbellsville, Bradsfordsville, and springfield Kentucky.

I have a lot more information that covers 6 generations and I will add more as I get time.
