  I have seen his name spelled many different ways and I'm not sure which one is correct. This is my great grandfather on my dad's side.
• Margaret Elizabeth "Peggy" Helm-Cox (67 KB)
  This is the mother of Basilee Pierce Cox. She is a daughter of Meredith Helm and wife of James Silas Cox. She is my great-great grandmother on my dad's side.
• Sarah Jane Everitt-Cox and mother (78 KB)
  The women in this photo are of Cherokee descent. Martha Ann Johnson-Everitt's mother was 1/2 Cherokee and some of her relatives were on the Trail of Tears. Sarah taught her children ways of the Cherokee. Sarah is my great grandmother and Martha is my great-great grandmother. Martha and I were both born January 25th.

  This is three of Sarah's 6 children. Her first was killed from falling off a horse at a very young age. Martha Elizabeth is my Aunt Lizzie, Clara, I never knew, and Quitman I never knew. not shown are my grandfather Ernest and his brother Ben.
