| I am searching for the the PETER GUDIKSON DAHL family of Chicago, IL. He was born in Aarhus, Denmark, October 8, 1984. He came to the United States around 1912 on Denmarks's most famous skole-skibet (school ship), the Georg Stage, at the age of 16 or 17. He joined the United States Army in Staten Island in 1915. In seven years' service, he rose from Private to Warrant officer in the coast artillery. After the war he married DOROTHY ISABELL AUDISS (a Wisconsin girl) in Salem, Mass. Their first daughter was born in the Philppine islands, ETHEL DOROTHY DAHL. They had three more children: MARJORIE JOYCE DAHL, MARQUITA DAHL, and BARBARA JEAN DAHL. In addition I am researching the JENS NYMARK BENDSEN family of Niles, Illinois. He was born Janurary 27, 1902, am still trying to find out where. He married Gerda ?. They had three children VERNER NYMARK BENDSEN, ALFRED BENDSEN, AND JIM BENDSEN. This part of the family is vague so alot of research is pending. Any information that you have would be appreciated. I am also willing to share any information that I have. |
