MRS. BESSIE B. ELLIS DIES IN SURRY AT 100


Mrs. Bessie B. Ellis died yesterday in a local nursing home. She was 100.

A native of Surry County, Mrs. Ellis attended public schools there.

She was a member of Carsley United Methodist Church in Waverly.

She was the widow of Claude H. Ellis.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Olivia E. Edwards of Colonial Heights, 
Mrs. Virginia E. Faison of Spring Grove and Mrs. Elizabeth E. Hatch of 
Hopewell; a brother, Oscar H. Boothe of Richmond; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian B.
