Descendants of David Asbury Honeycutt

Generation No. 1

1. DAVID ASBURY1 HONEYCUTT. He married ELVIRA ROSE November 15, 1891 in Gainesville, MO, daughter of LEROY ROSE and MARY DEATHERAGE.

Notes for D
AVID ASBURY HONEYCUTT:
David Asbury Honeycut could not read when he married. Elvira taught him to read the Bible, and he became a general Baptist minister on Sept. 21, 1912, when he was ordained and began pastoring churches. He preached the gospel for 58 years. He would still preach any time anyone would ask him, and he was asked many times. His favorite greeting to anyone, even a stranger, was, "Do you know Christ? Have you accepted him as your savior?"
