Charles Sumner Cox of Elsmore, KS Family.
Charles Sumner Cox came to Southeast Kansas to the community of Elsmore, Kansas before it was a town about 1885, he lived near Savonburg, KS. There was a community of Old Elsmore before the Railroad came through the County of Allen County, KS.
Charles was married to Mary Bacon and settled about 1886 in the community of Blue Mound, KS in Linn County, Ks and moved to Elsmore, KS around 1887.
I am trying to identify exactly who his father was and his background. I know his name was George (William or I. ) Cox born in 1815 living about 14 miles north of Bloomington, Illinois in the years of 1860's. George married a Mary Jane Leving and they raised 5 children Hazel, Mary, Henry Warren bd: 1854, William H. bd:? and Charles Sumner bd: Sept. 10, 1861. I also am trying to locate the family of William H. Cox and there location in the community of Elsmore,KS Allen County or Blue Mound, Ks Linn County. Any help with this information would be much appreciated.
